Description

GetFileVersionInfoSize determines the length of the version information resource stored with a 32-bit executable-type file. The actual version information resource is obtained by using GetFileVersionInfo. This function does not work with 16-bit executable-type files, nor with files that are not executable at all. GetFileVersionInfoSize Determines whether the operating system can retrieve version information for a specified file. If version information is available, the function returns the size, in bytes, of that information. System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo

Return Value

If successful, the function returns the size in bytes of the file's version information resource. If an error occured, the function returns 0 (use GetLastError to get the error code).

Parameters

lpstrFilename The full path and filename of the file. lpdwHandle Receives a value of 0. Although this parameter is effectively reserved, you must pass a variable to receive this meaningless value.
